Happy November, friends! And just like that, we're welcoming a new month, and the countdown to US Thanksgiving and Christmas is on. The past few weeks have honestly been a whirlwind! I've been working on creating social media content for a few clients, and our social calendar has been paced as well. But - I'm looking forward to cooler weather, slower weeks and cozy nights in. I'm also booking my photographer for 1-2 photoshoots this month, and wanting to make a concerted effort to resurrect my lifestyle, home & beauty content here on the blog. Pray for me, haha!
With that said, here's what's on the horizon for November:
ONE. I'm kind of toying with the idea of switching to Wordpress... but it would probably have to be under a new blog name. The last time I tried to transfer my domain it turned into an absolute nightmare, and I basically broke my blog and had to switch back to blogger in a panic. I'm looking at these templates and company & I'm totally in love!!
TWO. Really want to read (which involves fixing my new Kindle) The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger. I've heard it's terrific and I'd love to curl up with a great book. I'll be sure to let you know what I think + let me know if you have any book recommendations too!
THREE. Give me all the tartan. Haha! I honestly can't say no!! J.Crew Factory has the best selection and I'm so excited to snag this dress, this headband and these heels. Obviously, I won't be wearing them all at the same time though. That would be a lot!
FOUR. Plan out a few more projects for our home, and book time to complete them. I'd love to paint our gallery wall an almost black colour, wallpaper our upstairs bathroom and set up my desk / office. Currently, it's not very inviting and I'd like to have a space to blog / work again. I'll be sure to share photos as I go!
FIVE. Here's a great list of The Best Movies & TV Shows Coming (and Leaving) Netflix in November! I don't know about you... but when the weather cools, I kind of want to stay in, watch Netflix, read a good book, or just nap after dinner. Anyone else?! ;)

So naturally, what better way to celebrate than with a vow renewal! We've decided to do a quiet ceremony with just the two of us, then we'll enjoy refreshments & a picnic (I'm spreading out fur blankets, all the pillows, and lighting a million candles) and then for part two of our ceremony we'll be heading down to the ocean the next morning. Yay! Have you renewed your vows? If so, I'd love to hear about it! I'll definitely try to take a few pictures along the way and share them with you. We're also planning on vow renewal photos with a photographer later this year, and to take a mini moon once it's safe to do so. If there's one thing this past year has taught me... it's to celebrate, all you can, whenever you can! xo
Outfit wise, I kept it pretty simple. Because honestly, who the heck is dressing up these days?! My coat is from Old Navy and still available in the prettiest Hunter Green. My Hunter Boots are my fave go-to this time of year, and I noticed the dark blue ones are 40% off right now - such a good deal! I also did a little bit of online shopping this past weekend and bought the cutest chunky pom-pom beanie from Madewell + I bought their three-pack pleated adjustable face masks. I've been wearing surgical ones up until now, but since masks are now mandatory, and here to stay, I thought I'd splurge and get more stylish ones. I've heard rave reviews about the Madewell ones - so I can't wait to try them! Ok, that's it for now, friends. Hope to be back soon! xo
Hello, friends! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I've been dealing with a horrible case of mono and have been very house / bed bound. It's been brutal! But this week, I'm trying to get myself back on some sort of schedule, and excited to see how it goes. I suspect, it'll be slowww! But in all honesty, I'm ready for slow, and ready to put my wellness & health at the top of my list. All too often, I push, and push, until I'm pretty much ready to collapse, and needless to say, it's starting to take a toll on my health and well being. Old lady problems, am I right?! ;)
This past weekend, I had my first sugaring experience at Sugaring Change in Port Moody, and I loved it!! Chantelle, the owner, invited me down, and she's quite possibly the sweetest & most caring person I've ever met. She honestly made my first sugaring experience such a breeze, continually checked in (because I'm a big chicken after all, haha) and made sure I felt comfortable, and wasn't finding anything too painful, which I didn't. At all! If you're used to waxing?! This is a far cry from that and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised / a convert. I know I am!!

Hello, friends. Happy 2020! So happy to be back, even though I'm currently writing this post while sipping on hot tea and fighting off a very lingering & unforgiving flu. But better days are to come, and in the meantime, I'm excited to be sharing our spa day at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. It was the perfect way to ring in the new year and I'm quite certain we'll be making this a yearly tradition. It was so nice!! Plus, I'd love to take you around our city a little more in 2020 and show you what we're up to. My love of Vancouver runs deep!! Have you visited before?...
